    Dr. Love Talking with patient

Have you heard about microneedling? It is a procedure that increases your body’s natural collagen to keep your skin looking bright and young. This procedure can help hydrate your facial tissue which will improve your overall skin tone, decrease the appearance of age spots, and decrease the size of wrinkles and blemishes.

Lifetime Dental Health is proud to offer microneedling to our patients. Dr. Love is highly trained and certified to provide this safe and easy way to keep your skin looking young, healthy, and smooth!

    What Does Microneedling Involve?

Microneedling involves using a pen-like device with tiny needles to puncture the surface of the skin. These needles make very small puncture wounds which cause “trauma” to the dermis layer of skin. This forces the body to react by increasing natural proteins in the area, namely collagen, to help with healing.

Collagen is a compound that keeps your skin soft, smooth, and firm. As you age, your body naturally produces lower levels of these proteins – resulting in wrinkles and age spots. Acne and scarring can also cause your skin to lose these proteins and look unnatural and discolored.

We use your own growth factors to stimulate collagen and promote healing. Dr. Love and the trained team at Lifetime Dental Health have even “upped the ante” by adding PRF Platelet Rich Fibrin to the procedure! The results are fabulous!

    Is Microneedling Painful?

About an hour before your session begins, Dr. Love and her team will apply a topical anesthetic to the area. Once your treatment begins, you will experience very little —if any—discomfort.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

It usually takes about three sessions for microneedling to take full effect. Each session usually takes about two hours. After your treatment, your face may be slightly red and agitated. This will not last for more than a few days and should not affect your ability to work or go to school.

Can I Use an At-Home Treatment?

There are a few over-the-counter microneedling treatments available. These usually include a hand-held roller lined with tiny needles. While the concept is the same, the needles barely puncture the skin, making these DIY options very ineffective. While it may seem like take-home treatment options could be less painful, the local anesthetic will keep you comfortable and relaxed throughout your visit.

Who Should Get a Microneedling Treatment?

Microneedling is an amazing treatment that allows Dr. Love and her team to rejuvenate your skin without the need for a pricey or invasive surgical procedure.

We recommend this treatment for anyone with:

    • Age spots
    • Acne scars
    • Stretch marks
    • Large pores
    • Wrinkles

    What Is Dental Botox?

Dental Botox provides an amazing solution to both cosmetic blemishes and deeper oral health issues.

Whether you have a class reunion, wedding, or are just tired of those stubborn wrinkles, Dr. Love in Columbus, Ohio can bring your best look back with Dental Botox. Frown lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles between your eyes can make you look older than you feel. Botox can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles so you can walk out the door with confidence.

In addition to aesthetic treatments, dental Botox also provides an effective way to treat TMJ disorder and bruxism. Continuous clenching and grinding can lead to severe facial pain, headaches, and tooth damage. Often these issues are caused by a misalignment in the jaw joints, or by facial muscle spasms. Dr. Love is a Certified Botox Doctor who skillfully uses Botox injections to relax your facial muscles and provide months of relief.

What Does Dental Botox Treatment Involve?

A dental botox treatment involves making small injections in targeted areas around your face, lips, and mouth. Botox helps to relax the muscles and eliminate unwanted wrinkles and fine lines.

These treatments usually last between 3 to 4 months, so we recommend scheduling a regular treatment plan. This will help you maintain your desired results.

What Can Dental Botox Be Used to Treat?

Dental Botox is used to treat a variety of oral health and cosmetic issues. For those wanting Botox for cosmetic reasons, this treatment option can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines, and a variety of other cosmetic blemishes.

For those interested in Botox as a dental solution, it can be used to reduce the symptoms of TMJ disorder and bruxism, as well as any related pains, muscle spasms, and headaches. It can also be used to support orthodontic procedures and dentures.

    Can I Afford Botox?

Many patients wish they could reduce an aging appearance and do not pursue treatment because they assume they can’t afford it. At Lifetime Dental Health, we want to offer our patients alternatives to help pay for the care they need. That is why we are proud to offer financing options through CareCredit®. At Lifetime Dental Health, you don’t have to decide between health and other responsibilities.

We are looking forward to your Botox consultation! To reduce any inconvenient wait time, please fill out our online Schedule Appointment Form, or call our Columbus dental office at 614-321-1887.

There are a lot of things people worry about as they grow older. Here at Lifetime Dental Health, we believe keeping your skin looking young and healthy shouldn’t be one of them. That is why we are happy to offer Juvederm cosmetic treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, restore volume to your skin, and even enhance your lips!

Why Do I Have So Many Wrinkles?

Your body naturally produces collagen and hyaluronic acid (HA). These two compounds work together to add volume to your cheeks, lips, and face. They also keep you hydrated, which keeps your skin looking young and toned.

Unfortunately, as you age, your body begins to produce less of these two compounds. This is what causes the skin to sag and form wrinkles, crow’s feet, and frown lines. Without treatment, your skin will continue to lose its structure and volume.

Thankfully, Dr. Love offers Juvederm treatments to restore your naturally beautiful skin!

    What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a dermal filler gel treatment made out of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA). When this gel is injected into the dermis layer of your skin, it causes your body to retain water in that area. Amazingly Juvederm gel increases volume in the area while hydrating your skin at the same time!

In addition to this, HA gel treatments also encourage the body to produce more collagen in the area – resulting in a smoother, firmer look. For those who want lip enhancements, Juvederm can also be used to make your lips look plump and luxurious for up to a year!

What Is Involved in a Juvederm Treatment?

Juvederm treatments are very simple and straightforward! First, Dr. Love will discuss your goals and answer any questions or concerns. Once treatment begins, one of our skilled doctors will inject Juvederm into the target area with a very small needle.

The Juvederm gel includes a weak anesthetic to help reduce any discomfort. However, we are also able to provide a variety of anesthetic options to make your treatment more comfortable.

This procedure takes less than an hour to complete and the results are visible immediately! Juvederm can last anywhere from 6 months to a year. Depending on the patient and their personal goals, we may recommend a follow-up visit to ensure your treatment lasts as long as possible.

If you would like to learn more about Juvederm or any of our other cosmetic treatment options, call our Columbus office at (614) 333-9498. Our skilled team is happy to discuss any of your questions or concerns!
