Invisible & Short-Term Orthodontics

If the thought of wearing bulky metal braces is keeping you from getting the smile you’ve always wanted, your Columbus dentists have a solution for you with our various short term and cosmetic orthodontics.

The Invisalign® Orthodontic System is a series of clear, removable aligners that straighten your teeth. This cutting-edge alternative to traditional braces aligns teeth with plastic aligners instead of brackets and wires. Research has shown that 60-70% of all orthodontic problems can be improved with the Invisalign® technique.

Lifetime Dental Health uses advanced 3D imaging to create Invisalign® aligners that fit your mouth perfectly. A dental consultation with Dr. Barry or Dr. Love includes a comprehensive evaluation and a discussion about your goals and expectations. Your dentist will then take impressions and x-rays of your teeth. The impressions are sent to a computer and used by the lab technician to create each customized aligner.

Invisalign® - The Clear Alternative to Braces

Average Treatment Time

It can take as few as 12 or as many as 48 Invisalign® clear aligners to adjust your teeth. Mild cases of crowding or spacing usually take 9 to 12 months to correct, while moderate cases take 12 to 18 months.

The aligners move the teeth to the desired position in stages. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks. For best results, you’re required to wear the aligners at all times except when brushing, flossing, or eating.

Are you interested in straightening your teeth without anyone knowing? Contact Lifetime Dental Health today. Our doctors are certified Invisalign® providers.

Dental Implants

Missing teeth is difficult and can cause embarrassment and anxiety. If you are missing a tooth or multiple teeth, let our understanding team talk to you about the option of dental implants.

We can replace your missing tooth or teeth with strong, secure, long-lasting dental implants. A dental implant is composed of an artificial tooth root that is surgically placed into the jawbone and used to anchor a replacement tooth or bridge.

Advantages of dental implants:
  • Long lasting result
  • Unmatched stability
  • Can support dental bridges & dentures
  • Don’t require cutting down healthy teeth
  • Do away with inconvenient dentures
  • Helps in the preservation of bone
  • Helps patient regain normal speech
  • Look & feel just like natural teeth
  • Comfortable & convenient

If you are missing teeth, dental implants are a natural-looking way to get your smile back.

What to Expect

The entire process can take several months from start to finish. Under local anesthetic, your dentist surgically places the artificial tooth root into your jawbone. After the screws and posts are placed, the wound is allowed to heal and the roots are given time to fuse with the jawbone. The healing process can take up to six months, and your permanent teeth are fitted once healing is complete.

Your commitment to oral hygiene will affect the success rate of your new dental implants. Drs. Barry and Love will give you specific instructions on how to care for them. This includes excellent oral hygiene – brush and floss around the dental implant at least twice a day and visit your dentist for regular cleanings.

The best way to find out if you are a candidate for dental implants is to visit your Columbus dentists for a consultation.

Sedation Dentistry

Millions of Americans fear stepping into a dental office. Dental anxiety is one of the leading reasons people don't get the dental care and treatment they need. Dr. Barry and Dr. Love want their patients to experience their visit comfortably. That is why they offer dental sedation - so every trip to the dentist can be pleasant and stress-free.

No needles or shots with oral sedation!

Oral sedation is as easy as taking an Aspirin. About one hour before treatment, you take a pill that helps you relax. You will feel groggy, but fully conscious and able to communicate with your dentist. You will sit in a comfortable chair, and your vital signs will be monitored throughout the procedure.

Dental sedation helps patients with previous traumatic dental experiences and those who are embarrassed about the current condition of their teeth.

Sedation Dentistry is recommended for patients who:

  • Are afraid of visiting the dentist
  • Dislike smells, noises, equipment, and everything associated with dentistry
  • Have a bad gag reflex
  • Have difficulty getting numb with local anesthetic
  • Have very sensitive teeth
  • Need major dental work
  • Have no time for lengthy procedures
  • Want a truly comfortable experience
