Your First Visit
Welcome to Lifetime Dental Health! Finding the right practice for your dental needs can be tricky. That’s why Dr. Barry, Dr. Love, and everyone on our staff is dedicated to making your first visit smooth and stress-free.
What Should I Do to Prepare?
Before your appointment can begin, we ask that you provide us with all relevant personal data and health information. You can type your information directly into our new patient form found on our website. Simply print it off and bring it with you to your first visit. This information will help us complete any necessary documents and will alert us of any health risks. Please keep us informed of any name, address, insurance policy, phone number or general health and medication changes.
What Should I Expect During My First Visit?
Typically, your first visit will begin with a dental cleaning from one of our skilled hygienists. After this, either Dr. Barry or Dr. Love will meet with you for an examination to discuss any issues or needs.
We Hear You
Our process always begins by listening to your thoughts, concerns, and health goals. Exam records are obtained by our staff and from this information, our doctors can make a diagnosis of current and potential dental issues.
During your initial visit, Dr. Barry or Dr. Love will perform a complete oral examination. This includes a visual exam, periodontal evaluation, and diagnosis. Your doctor will examine your teeth, supporting structures, and your overall oral anatomy. If needed, we will also conduct a digital X-ray to help diagnose any additional problems such as bone loss or tooth decay. Finally, we will look for any tissue abnormalities by conducting an oral cancer screening.
All of these steps are equally important and help us detect any problems or issues early before they become too serious.
Dr. Barry or Dr. Love will consult with you on recommended treatment options and next steps. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have. We are dedicated to helping you understand your treatment options and what is best for your oral health.
Dental health shouldn’t be a luxury. You deserve the best. Dr. Barry and Dr. Love have the confidence, training, and experience necessary to enhance your smile and preserve your oral health. Our practice uses technologically advanced restorative dentistry to keep your smile healthy and beautiful. With Lifetime Dental Health, you can leave confident in your appearance, health, and dental care.
